Dr. Sutherland graduated from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine in 1987. He completed
his internship and orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California, Davis Medical Center in
Sacramento, California. He received advanced fellowship training in sports medicine, arthroscopic and
reconstructive surgery at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Alabama.
Dr. Sutherland has published multiple papers and book chapters on treatment and surgery of the knee and
shoulder. He is board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the American
Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Sutherland specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee and
shoulder.
