Dr. Barry received his medical degree from the University of Ottawa in 1984. He completed his
internship and residency at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Barry received fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics and scoliosis at the Hospital for
Sick Children in Toronto, Canada and he completed a musculoskeletal tumor fellowship in 1991 at Mt.
Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Barry is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada, a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic
Society of North America and a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.
He is an assistant clinical professor for the departments of pediatrics and surgery at the University
of Nevada Medical School.
Dr. Barry serves as a consultant for spinal implant companies and has been instrumental in developing a system of
three dimensional correction of scoliosis.
